After the breakdown of the PHRF-NW fleet article: Breaking down the Competition–Part 1– we take a look at the breakdown of the Fleet racing the Van Isle.
The PHRF ratings aren’t posted for the boats in the field. In fact not all boats will be racing under PHRF. However I was able to find the PHRF ratings for most of the boats from the New England PHRF rating organization. Which is funny because they are on the Atlantic, shouldn’t be be called AHRF?

So, well, it looks like we’re at the end of the field. Approximately.
Some observations.
- This race is made for the Cal 40. If it blows a bunch we’ll sail faster than our rating and pull some of the guys in front of us back.
- Our rating will be slightly lower for 2019 with the new #1 Jib.
We’ll see when the keel hits the water.
