Start Time: 0900 Hrs.
Start Line: off of the Government Dock in downtown Port Hardy.

Section 1: Start Start and sail up Goletas Channel, deep, strait and no hazards of note.

Section 2: Nahwhitti bar to Cape Scott. The Nahwhitti bar has a reputation as bad water. It can be a very difficult crossing (2015 apparently had a bad year), There is an inside passage around it but probably not part of any smart racing line. Probably have no choice but to just do it. Batten down the hatches and have you’re a-game on. Likely a reach across the top of the island with the wind turning around behind us as we round into and down past Cape Scott.

Section 3: Cape Scott to Finish Cape Scott can be a grumpy patch of water with current and waves from three directions possible. Beating out to the ocean in rough seas. Finish: The finish will be a line between the Kains Island Lighthouse and the Fl G M3 Whistle Buoy located SSW of Billard Rock
